Road Atlanta is home to the famed Petit Le Mans and has established a rich road racing heritage since 1970. The plunging and sweeping nature of the turns has made this a favorite circuit among racers, featuring iconic sections including The Esses, Turn 10a/10b complex, and the dramatic downhill into Turn 12.

The circuit is used for professional and amateur sports car racing, motorcycle races, driving schools, and corporate programs. NASCAR purchased the track in 2012 and it continues to host world-class events.

Getting There

Located near Braselton, approximately 50 miles from Atlanta. Take I-85 northeast to exit 129, then follow Highway 53 north for approximately 5.5 miles. The nearest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (55 min drive).

Barber Motorsports Park is an impressive road course and museum complex built by George Barber. The 16-turn circuit features an undulating layout through wooded parkland, designed by Alan Wilson to make best use of the topography with numerous elevation changes.

Home to the IndyCar Grand Prix of Alabama since 2010 and the world's largest motorcycle museum, the facility is often called "The Augusta National of Motorsports" for its immaculate grounds. The sculpture trail featuring giant spiders (nicknamed "Charlotte's Web" at Turns 5/6), dragonflies, and lions adds unique character.

Getting There

Located on the eastern fringes of Birmingham, Alabama. Nearest airport is Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International (20 min drive). Take I-20 to exit 140 for Leeds, turn right onto US-78 East, then right at the Chevron onto Rex Lake Road to the circuit entrance.

Atlanta Motorsports Park is a Hermann Tilke-designed circuit nestled in the breathtaking Blue Ridge mountains near Dawsonville - hometown of NASCAR legend Bill Elliott. Opened in 2013, this 16-turn course features old-school crests and dips with dramatic elevation changes throughout the lap.

The track combines exclusive events with extensive track time and luxurious amenities, offering a country club-style experience for car enthusiasts. Discovery Parts maintains an on-site showroom for gear needs.

Getting There

Located near Dawsonville, approximately 70 miles (90 minutes) north of Atlanta. Take I-75N to I-85N, then GA 400 N for 38 miles. Turn left at GA 53, go straight at the roundabout, then right on Duck Thurmond Road. The nearest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International.

Roebling Road Raceway (formerly Savannah International Raceway) is one of the USA's premier club racing facilities, owned by its SCCA region and active for more than 300 days a year. Built in 1958, the track sits within the cradle of American motorsport at Savannah, Georgia.

The 9-turn, 2.02-mile layout is a flowing, technical course excellent for learning racecraft and improving driving skills. PBS's MotorWeek records its winter track-testing segments here.

Getting There

Located at Bloomingdale, near Savannah, Georgia. The nearest airport is Savannah International (20 min drive). Take US 80 west to GA 17/30, turn right, then right onto Roebling Road (about 1.5 miles). Follow to the end - track is on the left.

Carolina Motorsports Park is the only purpose-built road racing facility in the Carolinas. Built in 1999 on the site of a former WWII fighter training center, the circuit was designed by renowned track designer Alan Wilson and completely resurfaced in 2020.

The track hosts SCCA road racing, ChampCar Endurance Series, 24 Hours of Lemons, and the PanAmerican SuperBike Championship. As retired NASCAR driver Ricky Rudd said: "It's the best kept secret around."

Getting There

Located about 4 miles south of Kershaw and 17 miles north of Camden on Highway 521. The nearest airport is Charlotte International (about 1 hour drive north). Track entrance is directly off the highway.
